Functional Evaluation and Treatment of the Cervical Spine and Skull - INMT 2
INMT 2 is an invaluable clinical experience for
those therapists dealing with sub-acute and chronic
injuries of the cervical complex and head involving
the myofascial and skeletal systems.
Explore a variety
of pathologies, such as headaches (in its different
classifications), migraines, whiplash, loss of cervical
lordosis (military neck), etc. Learn to evaluate
and identify specific cervical distortions, and their
connection to other distortions in the body.
Study
precise techniques to treat the cervical spine thoroughly
on individuals with different anatomical features.
The following are some of the subjects that will be studied during this seminar:
- Functional evaluation of the musculature of the cervical spine, including muscle length and passive/active R.O.M.
- Upper cross syndrome theory and its application to NMT
- Anterior cervical routine addressing the deep cervical flexors (for patients suffering loss of cervical lordosis and whiplash)
- Neuromuscular reeducation and specific stretching techniques for functional and postural improvement
- Discussion of possible contraindications, including the evaluation of the Carotid artery pulse
- Learn techniques to decompress the scaleni muscles
as a contributing factor for the alleviation of
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and Carpal
