Functional Evaluation and Treatment of the Lumbo-Pelvic complex and Lower Extremities - INMT 5
Study in detail all the distortions present in the lumbo-pelvic area and lower limbs, their causes, and effective protocols to correct them.
Discuss
the direct relationship between the feet, the lower
limbs and the pelvis and lower back.
Discover how
any disruption in the kinetic chain overloads the
lumbar musculature causing permanent imbalances in
gate and posture. Measure for proper muscle length
in the hip and lower extremities, and practice effective
myofascial release protocols and specific isolated
stretching exercises for the lower extremities, hip
and lower back.
This seminar is a must for all therapists dealing with sciatica and pseudo-sciatica, lumbar strain, sub-acute and chronic pain in the sacro-iliac joint, coxal joint, knee joint and ankle.
The following are some of the subjects that will be studied during this seminar:
- Proper functional evaluation of the lumbar spine, hip and lower extremities, including muscle length and passive/active ROM
- Myofascial interrelationship between the lower limbs and the lumbo-pelvic complex
- Lower cross syndrome theory and its application to pathologies of the lower back, hip and lower limbs
- Learn specific techniques to release the fascia and musculature of this area (including Psoas, Iliacus, Quadratus Lumborum and Obturators.)
- Discuss the direct impact of vicerosomatic pathological reflexes on pain and dysfunction in the hip and low back
- Optional patient home care plan, including neuromuscular
reeducation and specific controlled stretching
to improve efficient gate biomechanics
